Fixed-layout eBook conversion

Fixed-layout eBooks keep each page exactly as designed, which suits picture books, illustrated non-fiction, cookbooks and graphic titles.

A fixed-layout illustrated page

When to choose fixed layout

  • Picture books and children's books
  • Cookbooks and illustrated non-fiction
  • Poetry and design-led books
  • Graphic novels and comics

How fixed-layout conversion works

We prepare each page as a fixed image-and-text layout, check how it displays on common devices, and agree the approach in writing before work begins.

Frequently asked questions

What is a fixed-layout eBook?

A fixed-layout eBook keeps each page's design as set, rather than reflowing text to fit the screen.

Will a fixed-layout eBook work on every device?

Most major e-readers and reading apps support fixed-layout eBooks. We check the files on common devices before delivery.
