What an eBook service includes

An eBook is a digital book read on an e-reader, tablet, phone or computer. A good eBook has clean structure, working navigation, correct metadata and a file that opens reliably on every device.

  • Conversion of your manuscript to EPUB and Kindle-ready formats
  • Formatting: chapter headings, contents, images, fonts and page breaks
  • Fixed-layout eBooks for picture books, illustrated and design-led titles
  • Metadata: title, description, keywords and categories
  • Distribution to retailers and reading apps

Fixed-layout eBooks

Books with heavy illustration, complex layouts or fixed page designs need fixed-layout formatting, so the page looks as the designer intended. We can prepare fixed-layout eBooks for children's books, cookbooks, poetry and graphic titles.

How distribution works

Distribution means getting your eBook onto the stores where readers buy. We prepare your files and metadata for those stores, and advise on the best channels for your genre and audience.

Frequently asked questions

What file formats do you produce?

We prepare EPUB files for most eBook retailers and Kindle-ready files for Amazon. Fixed-layout versions are available for illustrated books.

What is the difference between reflowable and fixed-layout eBooks?

Reflowable eBooks adjust text to the reader's screen, which suits novels and non-fiction. Fixed-layout eBooks keep each page as designed, which suits picture books and graphic titles.

Can you distribute my eBook to other retailers?

Yes. DREM Book can advise on and prepare distribution to retailers and reading apps. Please email us so we can discuss the channels that suit your book.
